After School Care Information
We are open until 5.15 p.m. each evening.
Open each evening from 3.15 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. usually in the area outside Year 2 & 3 classrooms and the computer suite; and sometimes in the Hall or in the playground if the weather permits. Please click here for the staff rota.
After Care Supervision is provided by a class teacher or lead teaching assistant and two classroom assistants.
A drink and some fruit are provided for your child at approximately 4.00 p.m. If you have any objections to your child receiving these, please inform school.
Accidents
If your child is unwell we will try to contact you. You must sign a parental consent form, before your child attends; giving us permission to take your child to hospital, in case s/he requires emergency medical treatment.
Allocation of Places
There is no need to pre-book a place. Simply inform your child’s teacher or (in the case of an emergency) phone the school office and we will ensure that your child is sent to after care. After Care can be used on a casual basis, whenever required. This service is open to children from the local community.
Behaviour
The same high standard of behaviour that is expected in school is also expected in our After Care Club. Although the children are able to choose which activities they participate in, they are expected to behave. If you are consistently late or your child misbehaves, then use of the service maybe withdrawn.
Charges
£1.50 per child per ½ hour (or portion of ½ hour) for the first child, then £1.00 per additional child from the same family per ½ hour (or portion of ½ hour).
Families on a low income or single parents can reclaim part or all of the charges from the DSS, by completing their appropriate forms.
Bills are sent home each month calculated on the amount of time that your child has spent in After Care. You may pay by cheque, made payable to St. Vincent’s School.
Collecting your Child
Please ensure that school and your child is aware who is collecting them. Please enter school via the main doors along the corridor. The doors are locked so please ring the bell. Your child must be collected by 5.15 p.m. If an emergency arises and you are going to be late, please inform school as quickly as possible.
