Love
Friendship
In Reception, the children thought about the importance of loving one another and wrote about who they loved.
In Year 1, the children thought about the importance of friendship and shared how we are friendly to the people around us.
Courage
Forgiveness
In Year 2, the children learnt about the meaning of ‘courage’. They also learnt that Jesus can give us courage to try new things and to be brave in new situations.
In Year 3, the children learnt the importance of forgiveness; saying sorry and forgiving others. God always forgives.
Belonging
Peace
In Year 4, the children learnt that we all have a sense of belonging. They thought about the different groups that they may belong to.
In Year 5, the children described the word ‘Peace’ and what it means to them. They learnt that we can all be peacemakers.
Thankfulness
In Year 6, the children were reflective and thought about what they are thankful for in their lives.

Democracy

At St. Vincent’s we learn how to have our voices and opinions heard in a safe way by having the opportunity to vote for ambassadors such as the school council, Eco team, Digital leaders and wellbeing ambassadors.

Individual Liberty

At St. Vincent’s we are encouraged to make choices in a safe and supportive environment.  This could be choices within the classroom or choices to participate in extra-curricular activities.  We take pride in everything we do.

Mutual Respect

At St. Vincent’s we learn the importance of and show respect to children, staff and the wider community as well as learning how to have respect for the environment around us.

Rule of Law

At St. Vincent’s we learn about rules within school as well discussing rules and laws in the wider community.

Tolerance of different faiths and beliefs

At St. Vincent’s we show and have respect and tolerance for different celebrations and cultural events.

On Thursday 14th the children  learnt about the five fundamental British Values; Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.  Take a look at our photographs or visit the website to see more of what took place in school.
